DOCTOR ASUERO SQUARE

A space for everyone

In the heart of the village, the Doctor Asuero Square, dedicated to an eminent Gipuzkoan doctor from the early 20th century, welcomes us and makes us feel like being in the living room of our own home. That’s where we spend most of the time, we meet, chat, enjoy a meal or snack with the family or a glass of wine with our group of friends.

It doesn’t matter the weather; this place is the perfect shelter to enjoy a lovely chat while the kids play freely.

We like music and art, that is why we attend the activities programmed during the Cultural Summer which take place in our open-air theatre, located in the same square.

A VERY LIVELY SQUARE

There are plenty of gastronomic days taking place over several months, with the most popular regional recipes. Sharing a plate of beans or a roast with family or friends is always fun and will bring you fantastic memories. In the square, the bells of the church of San Juan Bautista are the heartbeat of the village. When you hear them ringing, you feel life at a slower pace. The church is neoclassical style, its altar piece belongs to the middle of the 18th century and contains the original carving of the Virgen de la Esclavitud, whose hermitage is approximately 4 km away from the village. Come to the square and enjoy all these relaxing moments with us!
